THE FACE BEHIND BAIINCO

THE FACE BEHIND BAIINCO
Ayseir Gonzalez, an 18-Year-Old emerging designer and brand owner from Philadelphia, PA, is the heart and soul behind BAIINCO
BEFORE BAIINCO
At a young age, Ayseir was already extremely indulged in fashion, in a sense paving the way for his future self and his brand. His mom, being a huge influence, planted the seed of fashion in his garden by being the most fashionable individual he knows. Before BAIINCO, there was Dopamine, which started everything for Ayseir at only 13 years old. During the existence of Dopamine, Ayseir began to share his design concepts with the world via Instagram. He stated that there were no physical products from Dopamine, essentially just designs and ideas.

THE BIRTH OF BAIINCO
BAIICO started with a simple personal creative drive and a selfless goal of putting South Jersey and Philadelphia on the map when it came to fashion. Early indulgence from doodling on class assignments, painting, building Legos, creating comics, and interest in sneaker culture shaped what BAIINCO is today, a creative foundation you could say. BAIINCO started only two years ago, making Ayseir 16-years-old at the time. From the start of BAIINCO, Ayseir has been in a lane of his own, just like he hoped.
BAIINCO IN THE WORKS
BAIINCO has been an extremely busy brand lately, continuously rolling out a micro-collection inspired by 70’s and 80’s vintage American sportswear and the Vietnam War. The microcollection is highlighted by a few main garments and accessories. The Guepard Screwball Tee, being one of the main products in the collection, provided a nice vintage fit, with a thin fabric and simplistic design, reinforcing the collection’s vintage inspiration. Notable accessories in this collection include the SAIGON Cap and Derby caps. If there's one thing that Ayseir values as a brand owner, it's that quality triumphs quantity. Innovation isn’t a fast process, and it avoids copy-and-paste products. The quality of work, how you conduct business, and swift shipping times are far more important than just putting out products. Ayseir’s brand is, in a sense, a part of himself as a person. His care for others is transferable to the supporters of his brand.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR BAIINCO?
The future of BAIINCO is more than bright. There’s something that Ayseir currently has in the works for his brand, and he told me that “This project will be better than my last,” but wants to keep it lowkey for now. Ayseir states that he envisions his brand being worn by all individuals regardless of background. He has hopes of opening up retail locations in cities like New York, South Jersey, LA, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago, and, of course, his hometown in Philadelphia, all major cities that would scale a brand tremendously. He states that he would also be open to a Nike Collab in the future, which doesn't surprise me at all, being that one of his biggest inspirations is none other than Virgil Abloh. “Virgil was my Demna”, states Ayseir. Expect alot more cut and sew projects from the young designer as well, whether it’s conceptualized sample designs or cut and sew projects he plans to release in the future, he has proven that he has what it takes to soon have his work alongside the greats within the fashion design scene.

REAL RECOGNIZES REAL
Popup shops for brands are a major accomplishment. I can easily see BAIINCO reaching pop-up shop status within the next two years. The simple word that comes to mind when you think of pop-up shops is exclusivity. Ayseir not only designs in bulk, but also via cut and sew, a lost art by most modern-day brand owners. Perhaps city-exclusive screen-printed tees and hats, followed by a few cut-and-sew pieces at each pop-up location. Though cut and sew is a lost arc, there's someone close to Ayseir that stumps the argument. Wavey Wakaru is another brand that I must give flowers to. Inspired by Japanese silhouettes, Wavey buckles down on authenticity and handmade garments. BAIINCO and Wukaru are two brands that I would bet house money on to continue to be successful for generations to come. We all know that collaboration helps scale brands. BAIINCO X WAKARU isn’t a collaboration that I would deem far-fetched, being that the two designers have known each other for years. Whether or not the collaboration is a pop-up event or a product design, don't say I didn't call the early shots here in 2026.

MESSAGE TO THE ASPIRING
Ayseir wants other aspiring brand owners and designers to know that you don't necessarily have to have a hidden meaning behind what you design. Having a hidden meaning behind every single design forces you to always intentionally create, when some of the best designs are actually unintentional and experimental. Allowing yourself to design freely lets your creative juices flow freely without constraint. “Keep reinventing yourself and don't stop sharing your ideas,” says Ayseir.
