Jaylin Kemp Interview - Owner of Aqlimate
Jayden: For those who may not know of your brand, can you please introduce yourself and provide a brief backstory on your brand?
Jaylin Kemp: I’m the founder and owner of Aqlimate. I oversee every part of the business—from creative direction and product design to marketing, storytelling, and long-term strategy. Every collection begins with a vision, and my responsibility is making sure everything we release reflects the standards, purpose, and identity that Aqlimate was built on.
Jayden: Why did you start Aqlimate?
Jaylin Kemp: Aqlimate came from my own journey of adapting through difficult seasons. I realized that growth rarely happens when life is comfortable. I wanted to create something that reminded people they were capable of becoming stronger through adversity. I always believed in the vision, but the greatest reward has been seeing people connect with the message.
Jayden: What does Aqlimate mean to you?
Jaylin Kemp: To me, Aqlimate is about becoming who you were created to be regardless of your environment. Life will always change, but your character, faith, and purpose don’t have to. The Dragonfly represents transformation, resilience, and growth. My hope is that Aqlimate becomes more than a clothing brand—it becomes a reminder to embrace change, trust God’s timing, and continue growing through every season of life.
Jayden: Why keep releasing the dragonfly hoodie?
Jaylin Kemp: The Dragonfly Hoodie has become the foundation of our identity. Rather than creating artificial scarcity, we’ve continued refining it through new colorways and improved details while keeping its meaning intact. When someone sees that dragonfly, I want them to instantly recognize Aqlimate. That’s how lasting brands are built.
Jayden: What legacy do you hope to leave behind with Aqlimate?
Jaylin Kemp: My vision is to build one of the world’s most respected lifestyle brands. I want Aqlimate to be remembered for timeless design, intentional storytelling, and inspiring people to become the best version of themselves. If someone wears Aqlimate years from now and is reminded to keep growing, adapting, and trusting God’s plan, then we’ve accomplished something far greater than selling clothing
